Vodafone logoGhana’s most reliable network, Vodafone Ghana has launched Season Four of its multiple award winning CSR initiative, ‘HealthLine’ which educates and empowers Ghanaians to take control of their health.

The new Season is even more engaging as the telecommunication giant has introduced two new segments – ‘Street Doctor’, to educate Ghanaians on first aid techniques and ‘Case Study’, an in-studio interaction with patients living with various health conditions.

Over the next 13-weeks Ghanaians will be informed on a wide range of pertinent health issues including Heart diseases, Sickle Cell, Diabetes, Hypertension, Sex, Cancer, Allergies and Infertility, with in-depth discussion by the doctors on the panel.

Commenting on the new Season, the Chief Marketing Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Uche Ofodile, said: “Through Healthline, Vodafone Ghana has brought smiles t0 tens of homes and communities across the country. Seeing people in need of urgent medical attention transformed from that look of despair to a renewed sense of purpose has been a very emotional and rewarding journey for us”.

She explained that Vodafone Ghana’s involvement in the health sector demonstrates its commitment to improve the lives of communities where they operate.

The first episode, will air this Sunday March 9, 2014 on TV3 at 8:40pm; and Wednesday, March 12, 2014 on UTV at 9pm. The focus is on heart related conditions and features the story of a two year old hole in heart girl, Faustina, from Agona Nkwanta in the Western region. Little Faustina’s surgery was paid for by public donations received from previous seasons.
