The Chair person of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Samia Nkrumah is suggesting that Ghanaians should “capture the strategies that enabled us gain independence and set the stage for our economic breakthrough.”
A post on the Facebook page of the daughter of Ghana’s first President stated that as Ghana is celebrating 57 years of independence, Ghanaians should “dedicate ourselves to realizing a patriotic, de-tribalized society that is confident in the variety of what we produce, basking in our capacity to innovate, proud of our ability to deliver and meet the needs of all Ghanaians.”

Dear fellow Ghanaians, Happy Independence Anniversary to all of us! Let us not be afraid. Let us capture the strategies that enabled us gain independence and set the stage for our economic breakthrough.
Let us recapture our agenda for freedom, freedom from fear and dependency. Let us dedicate ourselves to realizing a patriotic, de-tribalized society that is confident in the variety of what we produce, basking in our capacity to innovate, proud of our ability to deliver and meet the needs of all Ghanaians.
