A charitable Non-Governmental Organization called Mawuenam Foundation Ministry has presented two big poly tanks and other items worth thousands of cedis to the premier Nyohini Children’s Home in Tamale.

With a population of 25 needy children, the orphanage is bedevilled with numerous challenges and water scarcity is the major one.

Management of the orphanage have on several occasions appealed to government, civil society organizations and philanthropists to help connect pipelines to the orphanage.

It is against this backdrop the Mawuenam Foundation Ministry headquartered in Accra has contributed its widow’s might towards the upkeep of the orphans.

Leader of the delegation, Rev. Cephas Awudzi told Citi News, the contribution was a divine intervention which according to him will be sustained.

Rev. Awudzi said his NGO has adopted the Nyohini Children’s and will encourage its congregation and other well-meaning people to support the orphans.

He called on the general public to stop abandoning children to discourage the establishment of more orphanages in the country.

Rev. Awudzi thanked all the contributors particularly Mr. Kwame Asante Associates in Asylum Down in Accra.

Director of the Nyohini Children’s Home, Mrs. Augustina Quainoo said the donation was timely.

She thanked the Mawuenam Foundation Ministry but requested for plastic chairs from other philanthropists.

Mawuenam Foundation Ministry is a charitable Non-Governmental Organization set up to focus on the less privileged orphan children and also to support widows.

Its vision is to assist the orphan child fit into society whilst in and outside school.

The NGO’s mission is to provide for the educational, spiritual, moral and health needs of the orphan child and also to help needy children acquire skills to explore their God given talent.
