They have their own style of music which has endeared them to many of their followers and tonight, young artistes, Joey B and MzVee, will team up to serve patrons with exciting performances at the maiden edition of the 4Syte Teen Choice Awards at the National Theatre.

Apart from the music that they are expected to dish out on the day, both MzVee and Joey B stand the chance of walking home with an award as they have been nominated in the Choice Artiste Category.

Other young celebrities such as actor Rahim Banda, Cartoon of Afia Schwarzenneger fame, and TV presenter  Berla Addardey of Gh One and Rhythms have been nominated in various categories as well.

Comedians Kalybos, Funny Face, Foster and Lil Win, will be battling it out in the Choice Comedian Award category.

The Teen Choice Awards, which is being organised by Silver Network in partnership with 4Syte TV is to acknowledge the contribution of the youth in the development of the society and the country as a whole.

It is also expected to serve as a platform to celebrate excellence among the youth as well as recognise various personalities whose projects have positively influenced young people.

According to Mr Winfred Baah, Head of Silver Network, his outfit acknowledges the various contributions of the youth to build the nation and such awards will be a booster to inspire them to “greater heights”.

“This awards event should not be seen as a competition among the nominees but as a way of encouraging the youth to strive for excellence in their endeavours and to appreciate their hard work. That aside, it is also to help inspire others to emulate their good works,” he stated.

Today’s ceremony will see winners from 17 categories, including Choice Movie Star, Choice Music Artiste, Choice Music Group, Choice Television Show, Choice School, Choice Spartan and Choice Music Video Awards.
