The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dismissed accusations by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman, Paul Afoko that the thugs who disrupted Tuesday’s press conference at the party’s headquarters were members of the NDC.

The party’s press conference was disrupted when some angry youth threatened to beat up the General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyapong for ordering the party’s acting Communication’s Director, Perry Okudzeto to proceed on leave.

Paul Afoko alleged that members of the NDC besieged the party’s headquarters and caused mayhem.

But speaking to Citi News, the General Secretary of the NDC, George Lawson described the allegations as a “blatant lie”, adding that the NDC party members are “busily campaigning for their elections and have no time for the NPP.”

He further urged the NPP to resolve its internal bickering and shun the blame game.
