Per the module, the apprentices are to serve under master craft persons with government supporting their training and setting up.

The program in the Volta Region is being rolled out in collaboration with the Hohoe Municipal Assembly and Association of Small Scale Industries (ASSI).

With its theme “Job Creation through Apprenticeship” the initiative encourages personal development through apprenticeship and entrepreneurship.

Speaking at the event, Miss Kosi Yankey the National Director of NBSSI, encouraged the applicants to be submissive to their mastercraft persons.

“Put in your energy and dedicate your time and know that we are also supporting you by making sure that the right training programme are available. if there is anything you need or resources to make your programme and your entrepreneurship project go well we will be there to support you” she said.

The mastercraftmen who have been assigned to train the applicants were also charged by the Municipal Chief Executive of the area Mr Teddy Ofori to impact the lives of the youths and support their growth.

He also pledged to support the Master Crafts through government’s special policies to boost private sector development.

Mr Teddy hinted that the Assembly, in delivery on its promises, has plans to establish a garment manufacturing factory to provide jobs for the beneficiaries after their training.
