Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have expressed dissatisfaction with the manner the General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyepong is running the party.

This comes after some angry  youth of the party  stormed the party headquarters in Accra on Tuesday with machetes and knives disrupting a press conference and attacking other supporters of the party.

Speaking to citifmonline.com shortly after the incident occurred, some angry supporters of the party cautioned Kwabena Agyepong against his violent approach to leadership.

They further accused the General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong of working with the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC)  and called on the leadership of the party to intervene to ensure the party reclaims power in 2016.

General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong has been under fire from the leadership of the NPP since he relieved Perry Okudzeto of his position as the Communications Director of the Party.

He has since been accused by some executives of running a “one-man show” at the party’s headquarters.

Meanwhile, the national chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Paul Afoko has clarified that the directive given to the party’s acting director of communications to proceed on leave, describing it as a “purely administrative decision.”

“… the party’s steering committee [subsequently] took the decision to make some appointments as deputy directors of communication for the party,’’
