Some Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have vowed to resist what they describe as arbitrary decisions taken by the General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyepong.

Kwabena Agyepong has been under fire in the NPP after he relieved Perry Okudzeto of his duties as Communications director without informing the party’s hierarchy.

Some members of the party have therefore accused him of running a one-man show with his position as General Secretary.

However, In an interview with Citi News, the National NASARA Coordinator, of the New Patriotic Party, Abdul Kamal has also condemned Kwabena Agyepong’s actions insisting that it is in complete violation of the party’s constitution.

“If you are going to take a decision as an officer of the party, you have to do that in accordance with the structures that have been laid down in the party, which the general secretary did not do,”  he said.

He further revealed the hierarchy of the party was going to meet soon to discuss the issue and also put in place internal structures which will ensure the right thing is done.

Meanwhile, NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong has told Citi News he will address a news conference tomorrow to explain his actions.
