Three of the major state agencies in charge of preventing the outbreak of diseases like Cholera are saddled with the same acute sanitation challenges which contribute to the outbreak of such filth related diseases, a CitiNews investigation has revealed.

Cholera is an acute intestinal infection caused by ingestion of food or water contaminated with the bacterium Vibrio cholera, as defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The Greater Accra region of Ghana has been hit severely by the cholera outbreak in the last three weeks.
