Armed robbers broke into Nollywood actor John Okafor, aka Mr Ibu’s residence in Festac, Lagos State on Saturday 6th January, 2018.
The robbers made away with some valuable items including N14.3 million.
According to vanguardngr.com, the comedian was not at home when the robbers stormed his house for the criminal operation. They had met his wife at home.
Mr. Ibu said he has reported the incident to the police hoping the criminals will be brought to book.
“According to my wife, the operation started at about 3a.m. and lasted till about 4:25 a.m. on Sunday morning after which they left with all my property and cash,” Mr Ibu said.
In 2008 and 2011, Mr Ibu’s home was attacked by kidnappers who abducted his wife and son and demanded a ransom of many millions. While he was kidnapped in 2008, his wife and son were kidnapped in 2011.
Mr Ibu, considered to be one of Nigeria’s most talented comic characters, has starred in over 200 movies.
