Tamale based youth group of the governing National Democratic Congress  (NDC) calling itself Victory for Yaw Boateng Gyan 2014 wants the party’s current National Organizer retained.

The group kicks against any attempt to replace Yaw Boateng Gyan as the National Organizer.

As the party’s internal elections draw closer, so far only the NDC Deputy General Secretary, Kofi Adams has declared his intention to unseat Yaw Boateng Gyan.

But the group posited that the party risked losing the 2016 general elections without Yaw Boateng Gyan as the National Organizer.

“Looking for an effective, efficient and result oriented National Organizer who will guarantee a sure victory for NDC in 2016 general elections, Yaw Boateng Gyan is your man; we therefore urge party delegates to vote for him to ensure the party remains in power beyond 2016.”

The group’s Spokesperson, Abdul Rahaman Hambal at a news conference in Tamale described Yaw Boateng Gyan as a time tested and intergenerational politician whose track record is unmatched with his competitors.

He recalled Yaw Boateng Gyan’s distribution of moveable logistics including four wheel drive pickups and Motorbikes to all the party’s regional Organizers to fast track their operations.

He said Yaw Boateng Gyan’s loyalty to the NDC could not be underestimated, hence the call for his retention.

He claimed Yaw Boateng Gyan was the corner stone of the NDC’s 2008 and 2012 electoral victory.

“The success story of NDC cannot be told without mentioning Yaw Boateng Gyan as he brought on board his rich political know-how in the party’s 2008 and 2012 campaign strategy formulation and played vital roles in the execution of these strategies which ultimately culminated in resounding victories.”

Abdul Rahaman Hambal thus asked all NDC delegates to ignore any vile propaganda against Yaw Boateng Gyan and retain him as the National Organizer for victory in 2016.
