AirtelTigo launches ‘Season of Delights’

Newly merged telecom brand, AirtelTigo, has launched a Christmas package in its festive season promotion dubbed “Season of Delights” for its combined customers.

Effective December 6, 2017, customers of the network will receive “a new exciting delight every week, ranging from free calls on the AirtelTigo network every day and other exciting offers.”

AirtelTigo’s ‘season of delights’ is open to both customers on former Tigo and Airtel networks, and they can opt in by dialing *533#.

About AirtelTigo

On March 3, 2017, Millicom International Cellular S.A. (“Millicom”) and Bharti Airtel Limited (“Airtel”), announced their intention to merge their operations in Ghana.

This was subsequently approved by the regulator, the National Communications Authority on October 2, 2017.

As per the shareholders agreement, Millicom and Airtel have equal ownership and governance rights in the combined entity which has now been re-branded as AirtelTigo.

AirtelTigo is the second largest Mobile Network Operator in Ghana with a combined customer base of approximately 10 million and 25 percent market share.
