Jumia Ghana says it is preparing for this year’s Black Friday; one of the world’s biggest shopping holidays and discount sales campaign.

The company has partnered with over 20 brands including Nokia, Apple, Nivea, Dell, Pampers and Infinix, to offer customers discounts of up to 80% on products purchased online for this year’s campaign.

“Black Friday sales peak will be 10x bigger than what Jumia and its partners ever experienced. We will bring all our experiences to make this event a “never seen before,” he said.

He noted that the company was working assiduously to imrpve e-commerce activities in Ghana.

Ore Odusanya said the company as part of innovations to promote Black Friday is holding a music competition dubbed “The Jumia Voice” where a lucky winner stands a chance to get a 3-day fully paid trip to Dubai and a GH¢ 10,000 shopping voucher.

He said interested persons are to record their own rendition of a Jumia song; a rap, spoken word or singing, using the Jumia jingle and sharing the post on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #Jumiablackfridayvoice and tagging Jumia Ghana in it.

“Share post with as many friends and associates as possible and invite them to like it and share it. The people with the most likes will be selected and rewarded,” he said.
