Nyaho Medical Center, has opened its new branch at Accra Central.

The health facility is located within The Octagon on the Barnes road.

The state-of-the-art medical center offers advanced features for faster diagnostic telemedicine support for remote specialist input, and real-time access to patient records.

The hospital, which is focused on empowering patients to take control of their health operates on weekdays only.

The Managing Director of Nyaho Medical Centre, Elikem Christian Tamaklo, told citifmonline.com that the hospital was positioning itself to take advantage of modern technology to improve healthcare delivery in the country.

“We are ensuring that we can actually build bridges between the X-ray machines, CT machine and computers, and hopefully in the time, access to mobile devices. With technology, you can actually do it very quickly and we hope that patients will have a good experience here,” he said.

He further hinted that, the hospital would acquire an ambulance at the centre to ensure the transportation of patients to the closest health center for optimum care when his outfit becomes overwhelmed with patient emergencies.

He also said that Nyaho is looking forward to being the leader in the delivery of quality health services, to serve as a shining example to other health facilities in the country.

Nyaho is also introducing telemedicine, which helps doctors to communicate remotely with each other, which involves images and video networking.

All such data will be protected by the National Communications Authority (NCA), according to the facility’s Managing Director.
