One person is feared dead and several others injured after the Yutong Bus skidded off the motorway and fell into a huge gutter few meters away from the Ashaiman over head bridge.

The accident  reportededly occurred around 7am Sunday, but eyewitnesses say, the victims were rescued three hours later..

According to an eyewitness, Solomon Addrey, the accident caused heavy vehicular traffic on the Ashiaman overhead bridge to the Abattoir end of the motorway.

‘’… the bus was coming from Aflao to Accra; as we understand now there is one person feared dead and several injured,’’ he said.

accHe narrated that the delay in rescuing the victims is because the bus fell into the big gutter. ‘’Some of the victims have been taken to the Tema General Hospital and the rest taken to Accra,’’ he noted.

Addrey also said the Police are now at the scene to ensure order.
