Leading mobile phone brand, TECNO Mobile has released its new smartphone device, Phantom 8 onto the Ghanaian market.
The Phantom 8 comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM as well as two back cameras with 12 and 13 MP each and front camera.
The camaras come with super 10X zoom and auto refocus and helps to take wonderful pictures even at low light environment.
In his welcome address, the General Manager of Business at TECNO Mobile, Daniel Glover said the Phantom series which is their flagship product has been improved tremendously in terms of specification and quality compared to the previous Phantom series.
“The Phantom series is our flagship series. This new flagship product, when compared with our previous Phantom 5, Phantom 6 and 6 Plus shows a tremendous improvement upon all the specs of its predecessors. It comes with remarkable specifications,” he said.
“The cameras make every owner of Phantom 8 his own professional photographer. It has 2 back cameras of 12 and 13 MP each. They have the super 10 X zoom and the auto refocuses as well as support HDR (High Dynamic Range). With these cameras, you now can take a picture and get what you saw that aroused your interest in taking the picture, exactly the way it is since distant pictures can be zoomed up to 10 times more. The 10 times super zoom therefore allows you to capture 10 times more digital pictures while at the same time providing a dual flash on these cameras,” Mr. Glover added.
He said the Phantom 8 allows users to download up to 80 Apps without slowing down the system adding that it enables 50% of download speed.
Mr. Glover indicated that the phone comes with a 2GB data bundle from MTN every month for 6 months. He added that those who patronize the phone also stand the chance of getting a free decoder, dish and cable from StarTimes.
The incoming Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, Mr Kenneth Ashigbey who gave the key note address during the unveiling of the phone in Ghana on Wednesday commended Tecno for its innovative and sleek mobile devices.
He said access to smartphones continue to rise in Ghana hence such innovative devices such as the Tecno Phantom 8 will help serve the mobile needs of the country.
“…As we launch the Phantom 8, we have over 37 million mobile connections in Ghana. But one era of significant growth and promise in the mobile telephony industry in Ghana is using the power of mobile to enable digital identity,” Mr. Asigbey added.

It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and this will enable patrons to enjoy the best.
The screen size is 5.7” FHD screen with 4G+ network.
The front cameras are 20 MP with Smart Dual Selfie flash.
