A journey of a thousand miles, the saying goes, begins with a single step and wannabe big time actress, Promzy, has set her eyes on the nearest future when she will be able to act alongside the Jackie Appiahs, Yvonne Nelsons and Majid Michels.
Promzy, real name Promise Naa Momo Okasa, winner of the I’m In Love with Bomaye television reality show, has so far featured in three movies: Victims, Devil in a Dress and Hard Drive.
The 23-year-old actress told Showbiz in an interview on Monday that, she had always dreamt of becoming an actress but did not know the right approach to hit the screens.
“I always admired the actors anytime I saw them on the screen and told myself I will one day get there. Although I have just featured in three movies, the positive comments I receive from movie producers who have seen my movies encourage me to do more”, she said.
Talking about how she entered the movie scene, Promzy said movie producer Mabel Germain, who is now her manager, connected her to producer Enoch Atakrah who featured her in Victims.
According to her, she can take up any roles given her so far as the storyline is good. “Some actors are comfortable playing certain roles but I can play any role I am given”.
Currently a student at IPMC, Promzy who now prefers to be called Momo Okasa said she wants to see herself as a well-established actress in the next five years.
Away from her acting career, Momo Okasa who used to date Bomaye of Big Brother fame said she now has a new boyfriend in “whom she is well pleased”.
