independenceSome teachers in the Upper East Region are calling for improvements in the celebration of Ghana’s independence on 6th March.

The teachers are also requesting for improved conditions for pupils who participate in the celebration.

School children  engage in a number of activities during the celebrations.

Over the years however, children collapse while a few of them die for staying too long in the sun during the occasion.

According to Citi News’ reporter, Fred Awuni the teachers further suggested award schemes for students of best academics to be recognized on that day to inspire others to work harder.
