Tigo Ghana and Kaymu, one of Ghana’s leading online market place have entered into a partnership to use Tigo Cash as a mode of payment for all online transactions at Kaymu.com.gh.

Under the agreement, both Tigo and non-Tigo customers can buy or sell their products on Kaymu.com.gh with ease and convenience.

The Commercial Manager and Head of Mobile Financial Services at Tigo Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh, expressed excitement about the partnership, saying this will enable Ghanaians transact seamless online business on Kaymu.com.gh.

“Tigo Cash is successfully catching on and most importantly changing the way people live by making payments for goods and services more convenient and simple than counting out paper bills. This is another innovation as we continue to deploy Tigo Cash to particularly those in the informal sector and in rural Ghana,” he said.

The Managing Director for Kaymu, Tim Burkly, said Ghanaians irrespective of their geographical location could transact business on the portal at their own convenience. “The partnership ensures that consumers pay promptly for items on Kaymu. This sort of convenience and safety beats the normal stress of going through town despite the weather conditions, time constraints or security in carrying large sums of money for transaction of business,” he emphasized.

Tigo customers will have to dial 100 or 0578100100 to register for the service whilst non customers will have to register through Tigo Cash agents nationwide with a valid ID.

Kaymu is Ghana’s leading online portal where traders can either buy or sell used or new products, such as smart phones, computers, clothing and home appliances for the cheapest price thanks to a fixed auction pricing system.
