Fire destroys properties at City Lights’ East Legon branch

Properties worth thousands of Ghana cedis have been destroyed by fire at the East Legon branch of City Lights in Accra.

The fire which started around 4:30pm is said to have begun on the second floor of the building.

When Citi News arrived at the scene, personnel from the fire service were still trying to put out the fire which was creeping towards the main warehouse.

The East Legon Divisional Police Commander, Supt. Cephas Arthur, told Citi News no causalities have been recorded and the situation is under control.
