Former President Rawlings was gifted a 1993 Chevrolet Corvette car when he turned 70 on Thursday.
The car is a unique collectible version of a classic American sports car. 
It is however unclear who made the former President’s birthday a memorable one with this gift.
Rawlings celebrates 70th birthday with family, friends
The Former President Jerry John Rawlings marked his birthday with members of his family and friends on Thursday.
Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, the Member of Parliament of the Korle Klottey constituency and Jerry Rawlings’ daughter and others paid a glowing tribute to Mr. Rawlings on social media.
“Dad, I know that some day when the roll is being called, your name, J.J Rawlings will be inscribed in gold. I’m proud to be your daughter,” she said.
