Members of the Judicial Press Corps (JPC), will today [Friday] present a formal petition to the Chief Justice over the conduct of the magistrate presiding over the murder trial of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu.
The Magistrate in an unusual manner without any provocation, kicked out journalists covering the case from the courtroom.
According to members of the press corps, they do not understand why the magistrate decided to prevent them from covering the case as it was one of national interest and was being heard in open court.

The Magistrate, Arit Nsemoh, after the entry of the two suspects in the case; Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bossu, ordered the police officers stationed within the courtroom to prevent all journalists from entering.
The police were also ordered to usher out journalists already seated in the court. No reason was given for the Magistrate’s decision.
The suspects have been charged with murder, and abetment of murder. The case was adjourned on June 19, because the prosecution said it was waiting for advice from the Attorney General.
Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu was on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, stabbed to death at his Shiashie residence in Accra.
