University Practice SHS was too much for Ola Girls SHS and Bolgatanga SHS, dominating their round-of-16 contest with 54 points.
They progressed into the Quarterfinals stage of the National Science & Maths Quiz and were joined by KNUST SHS and Tamale SHS.
Tamale SHS featured in the tightest contest so far overcoming Edinaman SHS and Osei Tutu SHS.
27 schools in all are expected to qualify for the quarter-finals stage.
The 2017 edition of the National Science & Maths Quiz is sponsored by the Ghana Education Service through the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) and supported by Tigo, GOIL, Prudential Life Insurance, Accra College of Medicine and GCB Bank.
