The business school of the Kings University College in Accra has held its maiden business festival giving students of the school a rare opportunity to interact with successful business individuals.

The event attracted several captains of industry carefully selected to adequately share their business experiences with the students and as well educate students on the business climate in Ghana.

The students were also allowed to ask questions on business related subjects.

Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the event, the Dean of the business school, Professor Kayoan Sahos stated that the event was aimed at bridging the gap between the academia and industry.

He noted that it was important for students to learn and understand the practical side of business management.

He was convinced that the invited business leaders will provide the required insight into modern business practices.

“The main objective of the program was to create the platform for students to have a direct engagement with business leaders to enhance their knowledge in the critical subject of business,” he said.

He bemoaned the current gap between industry and the academia and pledged the university’s commitment to bridging the gap.
