Half Assini Police intensifies investigations into bizarre deaths

Ghana-Police-Service-EmblemThe Jomoro District Police command is investigating how two persons, a woman and man were found dead in a bizarre situation at Ekpu and Tikobo No. one last week.

The District Police Commander, Superintendent John Ferguson Dzineku, made this known in a media interview at Half Assini in the Western Region.

According to him, the woman, Madam Ackah Manyah, 22, a fish monger from Ekpu was murdered by some unknown people on her farm on February 20, 2014, with her neck broken.

On February 22, 2014, the decomposed body of Mr Akwasi Acheampong was also found near the Tikobo No. One cemetery.

Police investigations revealed that Mr Acheampong from Akwapim Tudu in the Eastern Region was farming near New Kabenlasuazo.

The Police Commander disclosed that the two bodies have been buried respectively at Tikobo No. one and Ekpu.

Superintendent Dzineku said no arrest has so far been made in connection with the case but the police have intensified their investigations.
