The Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Joseph Yammin has promised Ghanaians a truck load of medals at this years Commonwealth games.

Whether his comments are based on fact or its an issue of him being disposed to taking a favourable  view remains to be seen.

“We have said and will continue to say that this year especially the commonwealth games Ghana is likely to record our highest ever in terms of a medal haul,” he told Citi Sports.

What he does admit is that morale in the camp of the athletes is at record low following a year gone by of inactivity.

The Honourable Deputy Minister, however assured that there will be camping in the United Kingdom to acclimatize the Athletes before the start of  the competition which starts on July 23 to August 3rd.

The complete list of Athletes and participants is expected to be presented to the organizers of the competition  by the end of February 2014.
