The Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana on Thursday played host to the fourth edition of the SexTalk forum, a reproductive health that discusses issues concerning sex in a fun atmosphere while relaying very important messages.

It was mainly attended by residents of the all male hall and quiet a number of ladies as well.

Amidst fun comments and lots of laughter, the Resource Persons for the night dealt with issues concerning sex education, self esteem, suppressing sexual desires and advancements where HIV\AIDS is concerned.  Counselor Ogo, Rev Lutterodt and Dr Nana Poku were on hand to provide sound and captivating advice for the attendants.

Ms Gifty Torkornoo, a woman living with HIV, and who has been on antiretroviral therapy for the past eleven years advised the students to do all they can to protect themselves from contracting HIV. She advised that if they must, they should use condoms. The students were advised to go for voluntary testing and that even if they had positive results, they could still lead very positive lives because of the availability of treatment.

At the end of the forum, one attendant commented that he thought he knew all there needed to be known where sex and sexuality is concerned but he was glad he made it to the forum as he got a lot more enlightened on issues.

The forum was sponsored by PEPFAR and produced by Kaylers Communications.
