According to her, the region was proud of its affiliation to the current president.

“We all helped the NPP win the December 7 elections. From the era of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah to former president Mahama, it felt like every region had produced a president before except the Eastern Region, and we also know that behind every successful man is a woman with a vision and that woman is the first lady now. We are here as women to thank our first lady for supporting our brother and son. For fighting beside him. We say thank you. But we want you to know that now that the president is from our region we have to do everything to help him. We also need the first lady to also remind our president, so Eastern region can receive its fair share of the nation’s cake.”

He is working and things will get better and better. It’s only when you have a good leader that things will fall in place for you; and he is a good leader. Be rest assured that he is working for the well-being of Ghanaians.”
