The Marine Police has told Citi News, that the search for the bodies of Hiplife artiste, Castro and the woman who reportedly drowned Volta Lake in Ada has been unsuccessful.

The two went missing on Sunday after drowning in a Jet Ski accident in Ada where they were partying with some friends including the Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan.

The Director of Marine Police, Chief Superintendent Owusu Berko on Eyewitness News said his men have sent the necessary information to residents living in villages around the Volta Lake to help find the missing bodies.

He indicated that his men through the help of volunteers tireless “tried the best that we can but we still have not been able to locate the two bodies.”

Chief Supt. Berko admitted that his outfit does not have the advanced equipment to undertake such searches “but we have trained men who can rescue and then bring you out.

He disclosed that the Marine Police has limited resources therefore, it is extremely difficult for personnel to guard places such as the Volta Lake to ensure the safety of holiday makers and fun seekers.

“Manpower can also be a problem because you are considering over 200 coastal places like this that we have to protect…so it can’t be possible,” he said.

He cautioned the general public to take charge of their own safety when they visit such areas.
