This follows Citi News’ report that basic school pupils of the Gnani primary school sit on the bare floor to study.
This situation is contributing to the falling standard of education in the Yendi Municipality.
Yendi Municipal Chief Executive, Issah Zakariah said the assembly was devoted to provide enough furniture to the needy schools.
According to him, two contractors have been engaged to supply dual desk furniture for the needy schools.
Issah Zakariah said education remained one of the Yendi Municipal Assembly’s major priorities, hence the need to heavily invest in that sector.
