The elimination of the Black Stars from the ongoing 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil cast a dull mood on Ghanaians who felt let down and disappointed.

This huge disappointment coupled with the acute fuel shortage which hit parts of the country especially, the capital city increased the frustrations of the general public.

In a totally different stroke, you could have danced to the beat of the rhythm of the night, leaving all your worries behind last Friday.

One could experience a dignified red carpet welcome with a glass of Johnnie Walker as you descended into the “autonomous” state of the Tulip Mirror Ball where there was light, running water, drinks and more, discovering a pleasant and well-ordered state of affairs.

Though the “appearance fee” had appreciated slightly to GHC50, patrons showed up to enjoy the relief and escape provided by their favourite premium monthly event.

DJ Blow aka William Nanka Bruce kept the dance floor in high spirits with a buffet of mature grooves and rhythms and he rocked – steady, rocking till the break of dawn.

The Tulip Mirror Ball which was held in the Branche Lounge as usual catered to Ghana’s “A list” of clientele providing an oasis of much needed fun, laughter and merry making.

The Afrochique version as was expected shimmered with the exposure of the classy guests who adorned bespoke African inspired garments and outfits.

They radiated like rays of excellence contrasting the external state of mediocrity.  Redemption for Africa last week definitely came by way of fabric and not football.

An elegant couple was rewarded with a dinner voucher for two by the Golden Tulip for their outfits which earned them the best dressed.

Next month’s event will be held on July 25th and is a “Freestyle” theme so guests may come dressed to impress as they wish.

The Tulip Mirror Ball was brought to you by Golden Tulip Hotel and Tag Team.

It was sponsored by Johnnie Walker and supported by Prestige Photos & Large Format.
