Pressure group Alliance for Accountable Governance(AFAG) is asking President John Mahama to resign in the face of what they describe as complete mismanagement of the country’s affairs.

According to AFAG, the wastage which has occurred under the watch of President Mahama is unprecedented.

Citing the failure of government to retrieve the judgment debt paid to Waterville after a Supreme Court ruling, AFAG said President Mahama lacks the leadership qualities to save the country.

Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, Chairman of AFAG, Dr. Ayew Afriyie noted that the recent development in the country leaves much to be desired especially under the watch of President John Dramani Mahama.

Citi FM’s Sammy Wiafe, who was at the conference, said the group cited the latest shortage of fuel as a major challenge facing the country.

He remarked that the group also cited the recent tax policies introduced by the current government as a major cause of Ghana’s problems.

“According to AFAG, President Mahama has failed in delivering his duties as the President of the nation,”Sammy Wiafe reported.

The group has therefore given the President three months to resign or face their wrath.

The group has also expressed their intention to petition Parliament over their concerns.

The government has come under criticism for failing to resolve current economic challenges bedeviling the country.

A group of protesters on Tuesday, staged a demonstration to register their displeasure about the state of the nation.
