Muslim Clerics in the Tamale Metropolis have organized a special Thanksgiving Quranic recitation following the peaceful conduct of the just ended December 7 elections.
The Northern Regional Chief Imam, Sheikh Alhaji Abdul Salam Abubakari, officiated the event at Mallam Fari’s Mosque in Tishigu.
Sheikh Salifu Abdul Rahaman Mallam Fari organized the event which attracted Sheikh Abdul Failu Maikano from Prain.
They prayed for Allah’s infinite guidance and protection on President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, vice President, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia and the entire nation.
Sheikh Salifu Abdul Rahaman Mallam Fari said Allah was worthy of praise for preserving Ghana’s hallmark as the beacon of democracy in the sub-region.
He rallied the entire nation behind the incoming government to deliver good governance.
According to him, the special Quranic recitation will be replicated across the Northern Region ahead of the swearing in ceremony on January 7, 2017.
