Bimbilla Naa Andani finally laid to rest

Remains of the late Naa Andani lifted at the palace in Bimbilla to be handed over to the family

Body of the murdered chief of Bimbilla, Naa Dasana Andani Abdulai II has finally been handed over to the family for burial in accordance with Nanung traditions.

Government delegation led by Deputy Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini handed over the body to the family heads at the late murdered Bimbila Naa’s palace in Bimbila.

Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini commended the family for not seeking vengeance and assured them of government’s committment to bring the perpetrators of that heinous crime to book.

He pleaded with the family to remain calm and expect nothing but justice from government.

The late Bimbila Naa Andani’s family head, Kpatihi Naa Azumah Naatogmah recieved the body and thanked government for the assurance that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

He reiterated the need for residents of Bimbila to be law abiding by avoiding any acts of impunity.

There was tight security in Bimbila Township as some residents lined up on the street and finally converged at the late murdered Bimbila chief’s palace to pay their last respect.

The family head Kpatihi Naa Azumah Naatogmah announced that the third day funeral rites will be held on Sunday June 29, 2014.

Enskinment of the late Bimbila Naa Adani’s Regent will be done on Friday July 4, 2014.

Conspicuously missing at the funeral ground was the District Chief Executive for Nanumba North Alhaji Ibn Abass who Citi News gathered is in the grips of National Security.
