According to him, the car will fit perfectly in the Ghanaian market whether on road or rough terrain.

“We brought in a sample order, a certain quantity and we were under the impression that we will launch and sell it casually until we get our huge quantity but fortunately that stock is finished before we even launched. The market here in Ghana took us by surprise. So the quantity we planned for the coming year actually needs to be reviewed.”

The newly launched Oroch which is an upgrade of the Renault duster according to the Chief Executive Officer is currently the most durable vehicle on the market, with the capacity to carry close to half a tonne.

“Looking at the current demography of cars on the market, the pickup has a fair market share, it picks up about 42% of the total share and definitely this pick up will also do well because it is much cheaper and very sleek.”

The car was first tested and launched in Brazil before being introduced into the Ghanaian market.
