The 2001 year group of Labone Senior High School has donated medical equipment worth over GHc10,000 to the school’s sick-bay.

The items are nebulizer, kidney dishes, sterilizing drum, injection tray, drip stands, beds, mattresses, pillows and bed-sheets and cabinet for storing drugs.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr Seyram Freddy Ahiabor, said they were motivated by the actions of other year groups to give back what they had gained from the school.

“It is very necessary that 15 years after completing the school that gave us the educational foundation for our career, it is long overdue to give back in diverse ways to support the institution,” he said.

Mr Ahiabor said the gesture was just the beginning and that more items would be donated in the ensuing years.

He expressed gratitude to AshFoam Company for their assistance in providing some of the items and commended members for their contributions.

The group commended Mrs Felicia Tetteh, the School’s Nurse, for her dedicated service to the school.

Rev Dr Ebenezer Markwei, the Board Chairman of the School, who received the items, thanked the 2001 year group members for assisting their alma mater, saying that the school would forever remain grateful to them.

He encouraged them to continue with such support for the progress of the school.

Mr Joshua Akrong, the President the Labone Old Students Association, called on other year groups to emulate the example of the 2001 group.
