The Presidential candidate of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has urged the people of the Upper East Region to reject the National Democratic Congress(NDC) and the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the December polls.

According to Dr. Nduom, both parties have kept the people in the area impoverished rather than ameliorating their plight having had the opportunity to govern the country for years.

“We have been fighting to be on the ballot for the right reason; we believe that it is the PPP that is going to do everything necessary for the people of Ghana to have good jobs, quality education, quality health care and improved living standards”

Mr. Nduom reiterated his call on the people of the Upper East Region, to reject both the NDC and NPP for failing to develop the area.

“Today, when you come to Upper East, many places don’t have good water to drink, many of the roads are very terrible, a lot of the schools are in a bad state. Upper East is number two in terms of poverty in Ghana; but that is not right. There is a lot of work to be done, but both the NDC and the NPP will not do the work except the PPP.”

He admonished electorates to vote massively for the PPP, to build a solid foundation for development and eliminate poverty.

Explaining PPP’s 4th position on the ballot paper for this year’s election, Dr. Nduom said, their position signifies more development and prosperity for Ghana.

“Finally, the Electoral commission has done the right thing and Papa Kwesi Nduom is number four on the ballot. You can do many different things with number four. If you say vote for Nduom is number 4, Nduom for Ghana is number 4, if you say Nduom for Jobs is number 4, Nduom for you is number 4.”
