The Interior Ministry has announced Friday, November 4, 2016, will be Farmers Day, but will not be observed as a public holiday.

The Ministry in a statement instead stated that December 2, 2016, will remain a public holiday despite the Farmers day celebration being brought forward to November.

The first Friday in December is normally earmarked as the Farmers Day holiday, but the ceremony accompanying the event has been brought forward to November 4 because of the December 7 elections.
