Africa’s richest man, Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote has dismissed the reports of his death making the rounds on social media.

A story by a German web portal, Dw-tv3.com, carried news of Mr. Dangote’s demise saying the 59-year-old had died in Germany after a short illness which was confirmed by his family.

On Sunday however, Mr. Dangote responded to this story and the numerous posts of shock on social media tweeting: “I am hale, hearty and alive. Please disregard malicious report saying otherwise. Thank you.”
