In an effort to maintain its lead in creating global citizens for individual excellence, Webster University (Ghana) has introduced a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

The Computer Science program aims at preparing students to gain a deeper understanding of the concepts and principles of software and hardware systems in solving deep multi-dimensional problems.

Commenting on the new program, the Campus Director, Christa E. Sanders, said:

“We are excited to introduce Computer Science as our latest undergraduate offering at Webster Ghana. The BS in Computer Science is an outstanding and challenging program that equips students with the computational thinking and problem solving skills needed to excel in a technology driven world. Today, digital literacy is an absolute must and students graduating from this program will be highly in demand for the jobs of tomorrow.”

The Campus Director maintained that at the end of the four-year program ‘students will be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills in the field of computer science. The program will spark ingenuity and advance the way they think and relate to the world.’

Webster University is an American University based in St. Louis, Missouri with international campuses in 9 countries around the world on 4 continents.  Ghana is the first and only country in Africa to have a Webster campus.

Students have the option of studying abroad at any of the campuses in the network for a year and pay the Ghana campus tuition fee. They also have the option of transferring permanently to the other campuses.

In addition to the newly introduced Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program, the Ghana campus offers Bachelor of Arts program in Management, Media Communications and International Relations for its undergraduate program. At the graduate level, the university offers a Master of Business Administration and a Master in International Relations.
