The National Democratic Congress Parliamentary candidate for the Nabdam constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane has supported 206 second cycle and tertiary students in the constituency with GHC100 each to help pay their school fees for the 2016/2017 academic year.

Dr. Nawaane said, the financial support to the students was in fulfillment of a promise he made last year.

According to him, the gesture is significant because most of the students come from vulnerable homes.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Citinews expressed profound gratitude for the kind gesture.

Dr. Nawaane later presented 200 pieces of NDC party T-shirts to the John Mahama ladies in the constituency at Sakoti to campaign assiduously for a one touch victory for president Mahama and Dr. Nawaane as MP for Nabdam.
