Neymar Da Silva scored twice and Oscar scored once to give World Cup hosts a 3-1 win at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo.

The home side were buoyed by crowd in the early stages but they were stunned with an own goal from Real Madrid left-back Marcelo. The player directed a strong cross from Croatia’s left hand side past Julio Cesar and Croatia were one up.

But Brazil came back into the game when Neymar was freed by Oscar and the Barcelona man drilled home a shot past Pletikosa in the Croatian goal in the 29th minute.

Brazil completed the turnaround when Neymar scored from the spot after Fred was pulled down by Dejan Lovren in the area and the decision was given by Japanese referee Yichi Nishimura.

The goal was Neymar’s 33rd for Brazil and it equaled the number scored by former World Cup winners Ronaldinho and Jairzinho.

The Brazilians wrapped things up in the 90th minute when Oscar kept his cool and toe-poked home his effort in the 90th minute after being put through following an interception by Ramires.

The hosts now top Group A with three points while Croatia are now bottom of the group as they await the match between Mexico and Cameroon on Friday 13th June at the Estadio das Dunas in Natal.
