The closing date for submission of entries for the 2016 edition of Citi FM’s Write Away Contest, has been extended to September 30, 2016.
The Write-Away Contest is an annual competition geared towards building a vibrant culture of reading and writing among young pupils.
The contest is for kids between the ages of 10 and 14, and this year, contestants will be attempting to craft a story ending with the phrase: “Fortune Favours the Bold”.
[contextly_sidebar id=”uO8gSESrhOFLyhCHdUNV9sckGjqEOOOd”]In previous years, the top three contestants were awarded, but the 2016 edition, which is the 11th edition, will see the top five contestants awarded with cash prizes.
The overall winner of the 2016 Write-Away contest will be presented with a cash prize of GHc5,000.
The preceding four will be awarded GHc4,000, GHc3,000, GHc2,000 and GHc1,000 respectively.
The contestants with the best 10 entries, will be selected for an interview by the judging panel on the premises of Citi FM from which the best 5 will be chosen for the ultimate award.
Contestants’ entries can be posted to: “The Write Away Contest, PO Box GP 14123, Accra-Central.”
Alternatively, contestants can drop their entries at the front desk of Citi FM, Adabraka, Accra.
The 2016 edition of the Write Away Contest is sponsored by Moneygram and the Student Loan Trust Fund.
