Thousands of supporters of the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC), from across the country, have gathered at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium for the party’s campaign launch today [Sunday].
The President will be officially outdoored as the party’s Presidential nominee for the December polls.
President Mahama’s running mate, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur as well as the party’s national campaign team and parliamentary candidates will also be outdoored.
The NDC has said the choice of the Central Region for the launch was a tribute to the late former President, John Evans Atta Mills, who hails from the region, four years after his passing.
About 40,000 members of the party are expected to be at the event.
