The Progressive People’s Parliamentary nominee for the Cape Coast South constituency, Bright Edem Droefenu has vowed to unseat incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan in the upcoming general elections.
Droefenu who made the declaration at the launch of his campaign said Ricketts-Hagan, incumbent Member of Parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, does not deserve another term because he has disappointed the constituents.
“Those of you who are computer literates here should check this on the net. On the 4th day of November 2012 at this same place your MP launching here promised to build an international restaurants, cultural museums and poultry projects to employ the youth in Cape Coast, but ask yourself which of these promises has he been able to honour? It tells you he lied to us because of power,” he added.
The parliamentary hopeful further urged the people of Cape Coast to give him the nod in the December 7 elections because he is capable of bringing development to the place.
“Am appealing to you to you to think twice before you cast vote on the election day. You have voted for the NDC and the NPP since 1992 and what have you gained from them? Please don’t do that mistake again. We cannot continue to vote and nothing happen to our lives. Vote for Bright and Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum,” he stated.
The national chairman of the PPP, Nii Allotey Brew Hammond, who formally introduced the party’s parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast South constituency on behalf of Dr. Nduom, said the party is poised at winning all the twenty three seats in the Central Region.
Bright Edem Droefenu is in the race with incumbent NDC MP and Central Regional Minister, Ricketts-Hagan and Lawyer Arthur Dadzie of the New Patriotic Party.
