Homowo ban on noisemaking begins Aug 8

The La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly has placed a traditional ban on noise making in some key areas ahead of this year’s celebration of Homowo in the La Paramount area.

The ban which takes effect from Monday, August 8, 2016 to September 2 will be effective between the hours of 4pm to 6pm every day.

The affected areas include, Shiashie, Bawaleshi, Okponglo,Mpehuasem, Ogbojo, Ashalley Botwe,Agbogba, Nkwantana Atiman, Adentan, Teiman.

Also affected are Abotsiman, Frafraha, Amanfro, Ashieyie, Maala Jorn, Oyarifa Amrahia and Ayi Mensah.

In view of this, the La Dadekotopon Municipal Assembly has asked all churches, hotels, eateries and other business entities to take note and comply accordingly

They say that the ban on noise making is to allow for a peaceful La Homowo.
