FirstBanc Financial Services project massive growth in 3-years

The Managing Director of FirstBanc Financial Services Ltd, Samuel Asiedu, has projected an exponential growth of his bank’s clientele base owing to the high quality of services they render.

According to him, FirstBanc has positioned itself to take over the investment market with attractive services.

“Since 2009 when FirstBanc began, we have provided various investments and services in the area of asset and pension fund management, corporate finance and advisory services and brokerage through our affiliate brokerage company”.

Mr. Samuel Asiedu was speaking at the inauguration of the Tema Branch of the Bank at the Nicholas Plaza in Tema on Wednesday.

He said the Bank had distinguished itself in the management of pension funds and other financial services, which continue to attract many investors.

“Our flagship First Fund since its inception in 2010, has for five consecutive years been adjudged the best performing money market mutual fund in Ghana.

At the 2014 investment awards, our research unit won silver for the research house of the year. FirstBanc also won bronze for the fund manager of the year. [We have also been] ranked the number two pension fund manager in Ghana.”

These laurels, according to the Managing Director, continue to attract more investors seeking investment opportunities in Ghana.

He therefore announced an expansion drive the bank has embarked on, starting with the commissioning of the Tema branch to avail to more investors, the benefit of their services.

Mr. Samuel Asiedu projected that; the investment will be number in the industry and double its clientele base within the next three years.

“We want to become the number one in pension fund management in Ghana and we are on course with that. We have seen our clients, having grown from 842 in 2010 to over 14,000 currently, and as our client base grows across the country, we have seen the need therefore to open up branches to enable us get closer and to meet their needs. We look forward to growing our client base that by the next three years we should be able to double our client base in this process of expansion we are embarking on”.

The Tema Brach he said will serve clients with two mutual funds with higher yields, and provide an excellent pension fund management, corporate finance and advisory services, including brokerage services.
