The Northern Region branch of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association Ghana (CLOGSAG), has ordered its members to comply with the nationwide strike beginning today, [Wednesday] July 27, 2016.

The CLOGSAG members are to vacate their posts in protest against government’s failure to resolve their exclusion from the Interim Premium pay policy.

Addressing the media in Tamale, CLOGSAG’s Northern Regional Secretary, Yakubu Ibrahim Mahami, asked its members to comply with the directive.

Mr. Mahami in a Citi News interview said CLOGSAG members have been shortchanged regarding the implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy (SSPP).

He served notice that no amount of persuasion will convince the association’s leadership to rescind its decision.

Yakubu Ibrahim Mahami implied that CLOGSAG leadership is saddened by government’s failure to address their grievances based on the two ministerial committee’s reports.
