PPP will eradicate politics of ‘winner takes all’ – Nduom

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has vowed to eradicate the politics of ‘winner takes all’ from Ghanaian governance system should it win power in the upcoming general elections.

Speaking at the PPP’s national convention at Ghana International Trade Fair Centre today [Saturday], the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, assured Ghanaians that his party would “change the narrow ‘winner takes all’ parochial, ideology fixations to governance in Ghana forever.”

[contextly_sidebar id=”538FwKDKnpwtt9I6mc0pnkVHDKBdd5f8″]Dr. Nduom, who was affirmed as the PPP flagbearer at the convention, explained that this government would be one that places a premium on competence and would be blind to party affiliations and the like.

“We are committed to running an inclusive government using the best men and women no matter where they come from, no matter what their religion is, no matter their party affiliation. We want the best for Ghana and only the best and selfless will serve in our administration.”

“To the PPP, competency matters. Being the best matters. Incorruptibility important and is paramount,” The PPP flagbearer added.

PPP will build strong foundation for Ghana

Dr. Nduom stated further that the PPP’s intention to focus on building an enabling foundation for the needed national development.

He assured that “the Progressive People’s Party will build a stronger foundations from which Ghana can spring and become a prosperous nation.”
