Host of Montie FM’s Political talk show, ‘Pampaso’ Salifu Maase, alias Mugabe, told the Supreme Court on Tuesday that he was not served with the contempt summons by the Court till Tuesday morning when the case was expected to be heard.
According to the man who moderated the show where two panelists threatened to eliminate justices of the court, he was in court because of a a contempt writ against him by a private citizen Richard Asante Yeboah, which was served on him on Monday, only to be told upon arrival at the premises of the Supreme Court, that there was another summons by the justices of the Supreme citing him for contempt.

Addressing the court, the two men added that, they appeared in court also because they heard of the summons by the apex court on radio.
The issue of the date of the service of the summons, was confirmed by the registrar of the Supreme Court.
The lawyers for the three therefore pleaded with the court to adjourn the case to enable them respond appropriately to the contempt charges .
The five member panel of justices presided over by justice Sophia Akuffo, therefore adjourned the case to the 18th of July 2016 indicating they will not take anymore excuses.
One of the reasons for the adjournment was also to enable the owners of the station appear before the justices, since the court warned it could not hear the case with just one Edward Addo representing the owners who are said to be outside the jurisdiction.
The Supreme Court last Tuesday cited the owners of the radio station and the two other panelists of the show for contempt.
The judges said they had issued a warrant for them to appear before them to answer for contempt charges.
The two, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako Gunn, allegedly threatened to “finish” the Supreme Court judges if they made any judgment against the Electoral Commission in the ongoing court case challenging the validity of the voters’ register.
The two have since been widely chastised over the comments.
